What is Exiledesigns?
ExileDesigns was first created in 2003. Its goal is to assemble in one place all the (creative) projects I take part in. Webdesign, photography, illustration, writing, etc. It is also meant to share wee bits of knowledge & goodness, through tutorials, articles and goodies.
Hiya, my name is Corinne!
…and I’m a 26 years old lady currently living in Switzerland. I really enjoy experiencing different cultures and the world around me, and I aim to be a free bird (location independent) someday so that I may see everything this world has to offer.
I also am a freelance web designer & consultant who absolutely loves her job!
I work for clients in every corner of the world and I strive to make the Web a better place by sensibilizing them about accessibility and usability (does it sound good to you? well, you can hire me)!
I’m also a part-time teacher at Ceruleum, a private Arts school (computer graphics and webdesign).
My main interests are webdesign (of course!), photography, everything around travel, litterature, writing (I’ve got some hidden poetry in my closets), music,…
English isn’t my mothertongue (guess you realized that already) – I speak perfectly French & Italian, though.
How I made the Web my first home
I discovered the Web in 1998 and started right away my first website, where I used to share writings and articles (own, plus extracts I loved). Kind of a blog ancestor! As things progressed, I became a Photoshop and HTML addict. I furtherly entered in a Multimedia School, where I graduated and now here I am! Meanwhile, I also discovered the joys of photography, 3D illustration and 3D character creation.
I started being an established freelance in 2005 (I had my first jobs in 2000, though) and I’m still enjoying my independence.
