What is Exiledesigns?
ExileDesigns was first created in 2003. Its goal is to assemble in one place all the (creative) projects I take part in. Webdesign, photography, illustration, writing, etc. It is also meant to share wee bits of knowledge & goodness, through tutorials, articles and goodies.
Hiya, my name is Corinne!
…and I’m a 27 years old girl currently living a nomadic life. I really enjoy experiencing different cultures and the world around me: I love being a free little bird. I publish about my lifestyle on my personal (french) blog, Vie Nomade.
I am a freelance web designer & consultant & project manager who absolutely loves her job!
I work for clients in every corner of the world and I strive to make the Web a better place by sensibilizing them about accessibility and usability (does it sound good to you? well, you can hire me)!
In the past, I’ve been teacher at Ceruleum, a private Arts school (computer graphics and webdesign). I also gave private lessons & animated several webdesign workshops.
And… I’m also a travel writer. Actually, a writer. I actually never published anything in the past (except on a countless number of personal blogs), but me and the french language have had this very long affair since I was 12 years old. I just started publishing for a swiss travel agency, and I’m willing to do more of this kind of stuff.
Last but not least, I love photography and anything related to it.
English isn’t my mothertongue (guess you realized that already) – I speak perfectly French & Italian, though – and I master german and spanish enough to make me understood. I’m currently learning thai and I wish one day to be able to speak and write in japanese.
How I made the Web my first home
I discovered the Web in 1998 and started right away my first website, where I used to share writings and articles. Kind of a blog ancestor! As things progressed, I became a Photoshop and HTML addict and managed to get 3’500 readers on my first newsletter.
I furtherly entered in an art school, where I graduated… and now here I am! Meanwhile, I also discovered the joys of photography, 3D illustration and 3D character creation.
I started being an established freelance in 2005 (I had my first jobs in 2000, though) and I’m still enjoying my independence (that free little bird thing, ah)!
